Kanye West never fails to fascinate. As we told you, he’s still holding on to hope that he’ll be elected president. But other things he opened up about during his sit-down with Nick Cannon were equally as bizarre.

For one, ‘Ye has an interesting take on the media. “I’ll hop in the car with a paparazzi. I hire paparazzi,” he explained. “I know [business is] down ‘cause of COVID. I am hiring. I’ll buy all the paparazzi companies. I wanna pick the exact photos.” Apparently that’s something he’s always wanted to do.

Another fact that Yeezy revealed was the cost of putting on those Sunday Services. “I spent every dime that I have for marketing from Yeezy on Sunday Service. Every dollar I had,” he noted. “I spent $50 million last year on Sunday Service if you add up the operas, if you add up the flights. It was 120 people going to Jamaica. The Yeezys, they were selling themselves. So instead of paying for ads, I invested it in the church. I invested in spreading gospel. I invested in saying Jesus’ name on high.”

  • The rapper also touched on being directed by God to say that Beyoncé had the best video of all time at the 2009 MTV VMAs. “If God ain’t want me to run on stage…he wouldn’t have sat me in the front row,” Kanye points out. “I would’ve been sitting in the back. It wouldn’t have made it so ridiculous of an idea because I had never heard of this person before, and ‘Single Ladies’ is, like, one of the greatest videos of all time.” Oh, and the Hennessy he was drinking that night? “I was only drinking…because I didn’t want to go to the awards show because it was a set-up.”
