Sara Bareillis is returning to Broadway. The musical “Waitress,” which closed in January, 2020, before the pandemic, is returning to the Great White Way with Bareillis, who wrote the music for the show, taking on the lead role.
“Broadway is grit and grace, magic and mayhem, and I can’t wait to feel the electricity that pulses through all of us as the curtains rise once again,” Sara shares.
“Waitress” will open September 2nd at the Ethel Barrymore Theater and run through October 17th.
This isn’t the first time Sara has taken on the role of Jenna Hunterson, originated by Keri Russell on the big screen. She played the part three times in the show’s original four-year Broadway run.
