Kim Kardashian was reportedly rehearsing 20 hours a day for her “Saturday Night Live” debut, and it paid off. She left no stone unturned, joking in her monologue about everything from OJ Simpson being the first Black person she ever met to her reason for divorcing Kanye West to the reason for her hosting the show.
Honestly, the entire opening monologue is worth a listen…or three.
A few sketch highlights:
Aging out of the club – Kim, along with Punkie Johnson, Ego Nwodim, and Cecily Strong did a skit titled “Ladies Night Song.” It shows what happens when grown women try to relive their younger, hipper days. Kim kept falling asleep in the VIP, and it was hilarious.
The People’s Kourt – Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian were part of the sketch, which featured Kim as her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, judging issues with the family. They put an actress in a covered outfit to play Kim. Musical guest Halsey played Kendall Jenner in the skit.
The Dream Guy – This takeoff of “The Bachelorette” featured John Cena, Chace Crawford, Chris Rock, and Jesse Williams along with NBA player (and Kendall’s ex) Blake Griffin, and former “Bachelorette” contestant Tyler Cameron as her suitors. Amy Schumer played a producer who also had a crush on her.
