Sweet 98.5

An Arizona couple are now the proud parents of three boys and their newest addition is a big bundle of joy. Cary and Tim Patonai’s newborn son, Finnley, was born on October 4th, weighing in at an impressive 14.1-pounds. He made his arrival via C-section after Cary’s water broke when she was 38 weeks pregnant.

Doctors knew he was going to be large, Finnley was predicted to weigh 13.8-pounds, but was a bit bigger than that. The couple’s other two sons, 10-year-old Devlen and two-year-old Everett, weren’t exactly tiny at birth, weighing 8.2 and 11.1-pounds each. They were all delivered by the same doctor at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and the doctor says Finnley is the largest baby he’s delivered in 27 years.

He’s so big, his family had to go out and buy bigger clothes and diapers because the ones they had for him were too small. This newborn is currently wearing six and nine months sizes! Cary was also carrying almost double the amniotic fluid and admits that “absolutely uncomfortable” doesn’t begin to cover how she felt, but after experiencing 19 previous miscarriages because of a blood clotting disorder and fibroids, Finnley was well worth it. “I would do it all over again if I had to,” the mom says, “to get this blessing.”
