Credit card skimmers are cropping up all over the country. Gas pumps, gas stations, stores, ATMs…they’re all over the place.

Skimmers are devices that fake out customers who swipe their debit and EBT cards. Thieves can then take the card info and use it.

Here’s how to protect yourself:
Only use a chip card in a reader
Check the card reader for a fake top plate
Use Apple or Google Pay instead
Pay with cash
