Owen Wilson plays a Bob Ross-like character named Carl Nargle, who is the host of a popular public television series in Vermont in “Paint,” a new comedy out in April.
Owen plays a man who has it all – a signature perm, custom van, and fans who love to watch him paint. But when a new TV painter comes on the scene and steals Nargle’s fans, he begins to spiral into depression.
This movie is not a biopic about Bob Ross, but rather a comedy that imagines a world where things aren’t perfect for a “happy tree enthusiast” like Carl Nargle.
