Taylor Swift is not confirmed to be releasing a memoir this year, but her fans apparently got really convinced themselves that she was. Swifties have even preordered an unpublished book that wasn’t by her, shooting it up the charts and making it a bestseller!
The excitement started when pop culture podcast “what i will say” claimed to have insider knowledge of a publisher’s press release teasing a book with a celebrity author that had “global appeal.” So Swifties started buying “4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023” for $45 a pop!
Listen, there are just too many coincidences:
We thought (think) it is Taylor Swift because of these potential Easter eggs:
- Swift played an author in her “All Too Well” short film
- The official date for an announcement about the book is June 13th (the number 13 means a lot to Swifties)
- The total pages for the book are 544…which if you add together (5+4+4) equal 13
- The actual release date for the book is July 9, a date mentioned in ”Last Kiss”
- The Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) announcement addressing fans as “dear reader”
