Congrats to this week’s Top Teacher, Axton Kahler!
Axton teaches Art and STS (Skilled Technical Sciences, previously known as Industrial Tech and/or Shop) to 350 students at Elkhorn North Ridge Middle School.
Nikki & Spicoli talked with Axton on Friday morning about his 14 years of teaching at Elkhorn North Ridge Middle School. Hear for yourself why Axton scored Top Teacher status.

Why does your teacher deserve to be Top Teacher: “Mr. Kahler is our art teacher. He truly goes the extra mile for kids each and every day! He offers an after school art club called Pixels that is AMAZING because not all kids are good at or in to sports (like me). He is a trusted adult and a safe space for ALL kids, he is inclusive and very accepting! He also helps with several events doing the lights, sound, and video. On top of all that, he runs the year book club. He often talks about his deep love for his own family and finds so many ways to be a good example and inspire us (his students). He deserves this and so much more!”
