The biggest challenge of the season so far for Nebraska volleyball came in West Lafayette Friday night.

The No. 2 Huskers (12-0, 3-0 Big Ten) were pushed to five sets by No. 17 Purdue, ultimately pulling out the victory: 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, 19-25, 15-12. This was the first five set match of the season for NU.

Nebraska hit .311 for the match while Purdue managed .229, a full .129 above above the season average by NU opponents. Big Red also out-blocked the home team 15-12.

Harper Murray had a match-high 21 kills, followed closely by 19 for Merritt Beason. Middles Andi Jackson and Bekka Allick combined for 21 kills while getting hands on seven and eight blocks, respectively.

Bergen Reilly notched a career-high 54 assists.

The road trip continues Saturday at Indiana.
