The Big Ten Conference released a statement acknowledging an error by its officials late in the second quarter of the Nebraska/Ohio State football game. A run by Emmett Johnson appeared to have advanced the ball to the 39-yard line, which would’ve given the Huskers a first down. Instead, it was spotted at the 37, leaving Nebraska short. In the statement, the Big Ten states that “a first down should have been awarded to Nebraska. Replay should have stopped the game to review the spot since it involved the line-to-gain.”
