Nebraska football is back in the top 25. The Cornhuskers are ranked 25th by the Associated Press this week, the first time this season Nebraska has broken into the national polls. The Huskers are ranked in the writers’ poll in October for the first time since 2016. That year, Nebraska rose to No. 7 during a 7-0 start before dropping four of the last six games. The last time the Huskers were ranked at all was September of last season, when Nebraska entered the Top 25 at No. 23 after beating Colorado, then bumped up to No. 22 before losing in overtime to then-No. 24 Illinois.
The Huskers have a second straight road game this week, facing Minnesota in Minneapolis at 7 p.m. Friday. Pregame coverage begins at 3 p.m. on KLIN and Froggy 98.
