Sweet 98.5

When Brinn Williams got a text from her daughter’s preschool in Lincoln last week, she assumed her little girl was sick. That wasn’t the case, but Brinn wasn’t prepared for the real behind the school’s text. Instead, her child’s teacher had some…questions about a card the preschooler brought to school.

Brinn says Ruby, her 5-year-old daughter, loves to draw and color and make cards for everyone and the night before, Ruby asked her mom if she could use some of her stationery to make a card for her teacher. Brinn said, sure, thinking her preschooler would use some of her rainbow stationery. Since Ruby does this almost every night, Brinn didn’t think anything of it, so she didn’t even look at it before Ruby put it in her backpack.

Did Ruby grab the rainbow stationery? Of course not.
Did she grab a very NSFW card? Yes. Yes, she did.

It turns out, it was a grown-ups only card that read, “A best friend you can have sex with. How great is that?”

Brinn, ya know, only mildly embarrassed, confirmed to the teacher that Ruby did get permission to use the card, but she didn’t check to see what was grabbed from her desk.

Since Ruby can’t read yet, she had no idea what the card said. But the director of the school – who is Brinn’s husband’s boss’ wife – says she got a good laugh out of it.
