More than 50 protein shakes and other nutritional beverages are being recalled due to possible microbial contamination.
The products are manufactured by Lyons Magnus LLC under brand names including Glucerna, Oatly, Premier Protein, Aloha, and others.
The FDA says the company’s infant products are not included in the recall. More information, including details on the specific items affected, is available here.
Cronobacter sakazakii contamination is the main concern for the recall. The CDC says it can cause fever, vomiting and urinary tract infections as common symptoms. In severe cases bloodstream infections and meningitis can occur.
