The struggle to keep up with the stream is real.
There are so many options of what to watch these days that the average American, a new survey finds, has 13 TV shows and 16 movies on their watchlist that they still need to get through.
- All those shows average to about 104 hours of content waiting to be watched.
- 68% of Americans say it’s “nearly impossible” for them to get through their watchlist.
- 73% have a list of shows they plan to watch, while 58% struggle to keep track of what they want to watch.
So, why are we having such a hard time keeping up with content?
- Half of Americans say they have a hard time finding where the show they want to watch is streaming.
- In fact, the average person spends 30 minutes flipping through four streaming services before deciding on something to watch.
- 42% of people say they haven’t made it through their watchlist, with the biggest reasons being:
- It constantly gets longer (43%)
- It’s already too long (29%)
- It’s overwhelming (25%)
Most likely to be on the watchlists:
-
- “Stranger Things” (24%)
- “Game of Thrones” (21%)
- “The Walking Dead” (21%)
- “Breaking Bad (19%)
- “Squid Game (19%)
