This is beyond.

A British medical practice on an apology tour after it meant to send a Merry Christmas message to all of its patients but instead sent a text saying they had an aggressive form of lung cancer that had spread. In other words: Stage 4. Deadly.

Hundreds of patients at the Askern Medical Center in Doncaster, England had all received the text on Christmas Eve. They received a second text saying about 20 minutes later, saying, “Please accept our sincere apologies for the previous text,” and what we meant was, “we wish you a Merry Christmas.”

One patient was actually waiting for lung cancer test results when he got the text. His partner burst into tears and when they tried to call the office, the phone lines were packed with callers.
