A group of people gathered at the Los Angeles Public Library to start a book club in 1995 to read James Joyce’s “Finnegan’s Wake” one page at a time. Now, 28 years later, they’ve finished…sort of.
The famously difficult book ends mid-sentence on page 628, circling back to the first page, and group organizer Gerry Fialka said the group will start back at the beginning and go through it again starting next week. On the bright side, it’ll keep this group of energetic party animals off the streets for another three decades.
